Brooks Pierce partner Claire O’Brien was featured in the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) February 2025 issue of the North Carolina Lawyer Magazine. Her member interview, “A Love Letter to Pro Bono: Claire O’Brien Teams Up to Make a Difference in Greensboro,” discusses her involvement in several community-oriented projects such as Partners Ending Homelessness and Greensboro Beautiful.
O’Brien is an active part of the NCBA Health Law Section and the NCBA Health Law Council. She previously served as the NCBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Communications Chair, where she organized the YLD writing competition that encouraged young lawyers to write about significant topics and issues in the legal profession. O’Brien is dedicated to serving the Greensboro community by participating in various community initiatives. She takes an active role in Greensboro Beautiful, preserving the nature in the Greensboro community by taking part in tree-planting initiatives and other volunteer-oriented events to enhance the natural beauty of Greensboro. She also participates in Partners Ending Homelessness, a nonprofit organization in Greensboro that creates housing solutions for those experiencing homelessness, and provides resources to those in need.
“Being involved in various aspects of the Greensboro community, whether it be Partners Ending Homelessness or Greensboro Beautiful… – those experiences make me feel like I am a part of this community, committed to this community, and eager to make it as great as it possibly can be in all of the small ways,” said O’Brien. “…If everybody follows their own interest and tries to help a little bit, I believe we can all make the world a better place.”
O'Brien advises companies and individuals in the health care, medical device and pharmaceutical industries on a myriad of regulatory compliance issues.
