Brooks Pierce proudly sponsors the Eastern Music Festival (EMF), taking place June 22-July 27. For sixty years, EMF, a highly regarded classical music festival and summer educational program, has been hosted at Guilford College, and various other locations in Greensboro, North Carolina. EMF stands out for its esteemed faculty, inspiring repertoire, and acclaimed guest artists, led by artistic director Gerard Schwarz. As a significant educational hub, EMF mentors and supports over 265 young musicians from diverse backgrounds nationwide and internationally, nurturing their paths toward careers in the performing arts.
This year's program offers a packed schedule of five weeks filled with both free and ticketed performances nearly every day. It will showcase EMF's distinguished faculty artists, up-and-coming young musicians, and esteemed guest soloists. Most events will be held at Guilford College's Dana Auditorium.
The EMF aims to advance musical enrichment, excellence, professional collaboration, innovation, and diversity through a nationally acclaimed teaching program, music festival, concerts, and other initiatives that contribute to the well-being, health, and vibrancy of our community.
