Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is excited to announce that Haniya Mir has joined the firm as an associate in its Raleigh office. Mir will primarily work with the firm’s business and corporate law teams.

Mir focuses her practice on a wide range of corporate matters, including securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and equity and debt financing for businesses of all sizes. She works closely with clients to provide thorough, timely counsel through a host of complex corporate transactions. Before joining Brooks Pierce, she was an associate at K&L Gates LLP, where she counseled public and private companies on a range of corporate, securities and transactional issues.
Mir earned her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, and has a master’s degree from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. She received her law degree from the Duke University School of Law where she was executive editor of the Duke Law Journal and president of the Women Law Students Association.
Mir serves on the board of directors for the Duke University School of Law Alumni Association and as an emerging leaders board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle.
