The 2018 edition of Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List” recognized Brooks Pierce partners Brian Fork, Clint Morse, Ben Norman, and Bryan Starrett as leaders in the legal profession. This is the second year in a row the four attorneys have been named to the list.
“These partners have once again demonstrated an unyielding commitment to serving our clients and communities well,” said Brooks Pierce managing partner Reid Phillips. “We are pleased that they have been acknowledged for their contributions to Brooks Pierce and to the practice of law.”

Morse is an experienced litigator who represents a wide range of clients on issues related to intellectual property, bankruptcy, and general corporate disputes.
Norman focuses his practice on matters involving failed business relationships, typically in regards to claims of breach of contract, fraud and unfair or deceptive trade practices. He has experience litigating in state and federal trial and appellate courts, especially the North Carolina Business Court.
Starrett represents clients in all levels of state and federal courts in North Carolina, including the North Carolina Business Court, in a wide variety of litigation matters. He also counsels companies on internal investigations and compliance issues and employment law.
Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List” recognizes the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners aged forty or younger. Benchmark Litigation employs a thorough process of peer review and matter examination to select the annual list.
Benchmark Litigation is the only legal directory to focus exclusively on litigation. The editorials and rankings published in annual guides are the product of a four-to-six month research process that involves extensive interviews with litigators and clients and an examination of recent casework handled by law firms.
