Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that attorney Jessica Thaller-Moran has joined the firm as an associate in its Raleigh office, where she will focus her practice on business litigation.
Before joining Brooks Pierce, Thaller-Moran served as a law clerk at the North Carolina Business Court, where she worked closely with former Chief Business Court Judge John Jolly, Jr., and subsequently with Business Court Judge Gregory McGuire, on a wide range of complex business law topics, including trade secrets and corporate dissolution. She has also worked on issues involving regulatory compliance and employment law, including an internship with Lowe’s Companies, Inc.
“Jessi will be a great addition to our firm in a signature area of our practice,” said Ed Winslow, the firm’s managing partner. “Business litigation is Brooks Pierce’s sweet spot. Jessica brings inside knowledge and on-the-ground experience with leading edge business law issues and with the processes of the Business Court. She knows how things work. She will join a large and growing team of Brooks Pierce lawyers who do this work. She’s going to be a real asset to our clients.”
“I am excited to be joining Brooks Pierce,” said Thaller-Moran. “I was aware of the firm’s reputation and got to know several of its attorneys through my work with the North Carolina Business Court, and I am thrilled to be joining a team of such reputable attorneys.”
Thaller-Moran earned her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of Richmond and earned her law degree with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an editor of the North Carolina Law Review and was recognized for her extensive pro bono service.
