Justin Outling Receives Alumni Award from UNCG

Brooks Pierce partner Justin Outling was recently selected as a recipient of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) Alumni Award for Professional Achievement.

Award recipients are selected by a committee comprised of members of the Alumni Leadership Board. The award will be presented at the Alumni Awards ceremony on Oct. 18 at UNCG.

Outling focuses his practice on business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He has served as a Greensboro City Councilman since 2015 and was named to the Greensboro News & Record’s “Top 20 People of Influence” in 2017. In 2019, Outling received the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Citizen Lawyer Award. He was also named one of the Triad Business Journal’s “40 Leaders Under 40” in 2016 and selected as “Outstanding Lawyer of the Year” by the Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers in 2016. Outling is a graduate of UNCG and Duke University School of Law.
