Will Quick Named Partner at Brooks Pierce

Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Will Quick has been named a partner.

Quick’s practice includes complex business litigation, data privacy, municipal governance and land use matters. He represents businesses of all sizes before North Carolina and South Carolina state and federal courts. He also assists businesses with designing and implementing data privacy policies and aids companies responding to cybersecurity incidents, including with the notification process following breach events. Additionally, Quick advises local governments on a wide range of matters including open meetings law, parliamentary procedure and media relations issues and counsels businesses appearing before local government boards and committees.

Quick was selected as one of the American Bar Association’s 2019 On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers. He has been recognized as a 2019 “Rising Star” by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly and named a 2019 North Carolina Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in appellate law. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Young Guns category in Business North Carolina's “Legal Elite” in 2019. He was named one of the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Leaders Under 40” for 2018 and, in 2017, received the North Carolina Bar Association Charles F. Blanchard Young Lawyer of the Year Award. He was one of the first members of the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society, which recognizes attorneys who dedicate more than 50 hours a year to pro bono work.

He is involved in numerous professional and civic organizations including the North Carolina Bar Association where he serves as the treasurer of the Privacy and Data Security Section, secretary of the Young Lawyers Division, and as a member of the Litigation Section Council. He is a member of the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center Advisory Board and the board of directors for North Carolina State University’s Alumni Association. Quick earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, his master’s in business administration from North Carolina State University and his juris doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
