Brooks Pierce attorney Will Quick presented on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data privacy at the Triangle Marketing Club in Raleigh on Nov. 27.
In the presentation, Quick discussed lessons learned since the GDPR became enforceable six months ago. The presentation included a recap of recent guidance from the European Data Protection Board on territorial scope, with a particular focus on how the GDPR affects marketers. Quick also provided a general overview of privacy considerations for the marketing industry.
