Brooks Pierce attorney Mousa Alshanteer has been named a council member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Health Law Section. His term is expected to run through June 2026.
The NCBA’s practice-specific sections allow attorneys to discuss issues, procedures and best practices with other attorneys focusing on the same areas of law. The Health Law Section addresses legal issues related to health care including medical malpractice and health care provider regulation and health insurance, and provides an excellent opportunity to network with fellow health care attorneys.
Alshanteer has advised various health care providers, including physicians, group practices, hospitals and surgery centers, on a wide variety of transactional matters, general business matters, regulatory compliance and litigation. Additionally, he has planned, negotiated and documented a variety of corporate transactions across several industries, such as mergers and acquisitions (including both purchases and sales) and private equity financing. He has also represented clients of all types and sizes in general business matters, such as entity formation and organization, corporate governance, and contract drafting and negotiation.
