Brooks Pierce Managing Partner Reid Phillips gave an optimistic assessment in a recent Triangle Business Journal article about the law firm landscape in the Triangle and national trends including competition for new attorneys, consolidation among firms and a softening demand for legal services in some sectors. The article points out several sources, including area law firm survey responses and a fourth-quarter Reuters report examining firm financial health.
"We are continuing to actively recruit and hire experienced attorneys as well as recent law school graduates at a steady pace," Phillips said. "We remain optimistic about the economy and, thus far, have not seen reason to pull back or alter our plans."
As managing partner of Brooks Pierce, Phillips is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall management of the firm. His practice focuses on complex business and corporate litigation, class action, federal litigation and financial services and banking, among other areas.
