Brooks Pierce partner Will Quick has been elected to the WakeEd Partnership board of directors. His term begins July 1, 2022. Quick succeeds Brooks Pierce partner Walt Tippett after 12 years of board service at WakeEd.
WakeEd is a unique, strategic, education nonprofit focused on supporting teaching and leadership modeling in Wake County Public Schools to provide students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a complex and changing workplace.
Quick has a diverse litigation and regulatory practice, representing businesses and local governments in trial and appellate matters and before state agencies in North and South Carolina. He also advises clients on the design and implementation of privacy compliance programs and assists data breach victims with their response and notification obligations. Quick is a Board Certified Specialist in Privacy and Information Security Law from the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization. He is actively involved in the community, holding numerous leadership positions within the North Carolina Bar Association and serving on the board of directors of the North Carolina State University Alumni Association.
