Will Quick Named Vice-Chair of North Carolina Bar Association’s Privacy & Data Security Section Council
Brooks Pierce partner Will Quick was recently named vice-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Privacy & Data Security Section Council. The Section brings together members of the NCBA with a special interest in privacy and data security law, and focuses on furthering the development of the law in these fields.
Quick is certified as a specialist in privacy and information security law by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization and holds the CIPP/US designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He assists businesses of all types with assessing regulatory obligations and developing privacy compliance programs to meet them. Quick also helps companies experiencing cybersecurity incidents with the investigation, response and notification process, often coordinating efforts across multiple states. He previously served as secretary of the Privacy & Data Security Section Council.
