About Me
I am a product of those who came before me. I hail from a large working-class family, and I have witnessed labor of love in the services they have provided over the years. This includes the meticulous custodial work of my grandmother; the unique and caring teaching style of my mother, who taught special education and assisted her students despite their challenges and limited resources; and the handy work of my father who built his own home from the ground up and continues to provide skilled labor in hospitals, homes, and schools.
The determination, experiences, and success of my family have influenced me to always strive for excellence. Their influence steers my passion and commitment to the legal profession and allows me to serve with dignity: to be the best advocate for my clients, while remaining honest, amicable, and communicative.
Growing up on a small island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands and then transitioning to living in the nation’s capital has taught me that “No problem is too big to solve.” I embrace confronting any challenges and enjoy helping clients solve problems. As a first-generation attorney, I also know that with hard work, anything is possible and truly believe in the saying “The sky's the limit.”
