George House Speaks on Public-Private Partnerships at Piedmont Triad Commercial Real Estate Women Event

Brooks Pierce partner George House recently discussed public-private partnerships at the 8th annual CRE Panel Meeting and Presentation hosted by Piedmont Triad Commercial Real Estate Women (PTCREW) on Nov. 7. House participated in the panel with Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughn and Donna Newton of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.

The event, entitled “How to Develop and Implement Successful Public-Private Partnerships,” provided key tips for developing and implementing successful public-private partnerships. In his presentation, House discussed the history of public-private partnerships while providing an assessment of the various pros and cons of the relationship. He also provided an economic overview of the NC Project Development Financing and Opportunity Zone Funds.

House has worked in every area of environmental law and litigation since the birth of the practice in the 1970s. A seasoned environmental litigator, he represents his clients on matters related to mining law, water law, air compliance and hazardous waste.
