Brooks Pierce labor and employment attorneys Erin Barker and Beth Langley presented a webinar that discussed the new United States Department of Labor (DOL) salary threshold rule effective on July 1, the additional salary threshold increase that will be effective on January 1, 2025, and the recent enforcement and litigation activity regarding employee classification surrounding this new rule. Barker and Langley also provided best practices for employers for auditing the exempt status of positions going forward.
