Brooks Pierce Attorney Publishes Article on Internal Investigations with Westlaw
Brooks Pierce attorney Shana Fulton’s article on internal investigations was recently published by Thomson Reuters Westlaw Mergers and Acquisitions Journal.
The article, “The Impact of Society’s Demands for Transparency on Internal Investigations and Their Investigators,” discusses the ethical issues that investigators grapple with in conducting internal investigations within the current societal environment that expects more transparency. This push for transparency – and the pressures it has placed on legal privileges – has been galvanized in large part by the #MeToo movement.
Fulton represents businesses and individuals in criminal and civil litigation, under government investigation or in conducting internal investigations. As a defense attorney and former Assistant U.S. Attorney, she has experience litigating and investigating high-profile and complex matters at all levels of federal and state courts.
