Partner Walt Tippett Admitted as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America
Brooks Pierce partner Walt Tippett was recently selected as a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA), an invitation-only international honorary association of lawyers in construction and related practices.
The CLSA dedicates itself to promoting superior advocacy and ethical standards in construction law with the goal of fostering the scholarly sharing of ideas among practitioners. Lawyers are only selected to join the CLSA after establishing a proven track record of excellence and accomplishment in construction law at both the trial and appellate levels. CLSA fellows have exceptional ethical and professional reputations.
“It is an honor to be selected to join CLSA,” said Tippett. “I am proud to be included in this prestigious group.”
Tippett, who has practiced for almost 20 years, works with developers, contractors, financial entities and real estate professionals in construction-based, transactional and litigation matters. He also advises businesses on resolving disputes regarding fiduciary relationships, corporate governance and complex commercial transactions. Tippett is a certified mediator and serves on the board of directors for both the Wake Technical Community College Foundation and the Wake Education Partnership. He received both his law degree and his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
