Brooks Pierce Welcomes New Associate

Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Amanda Hawkins has joined as an associate based in the firm’s Raleigh office. Her practice will focus on commercial litigation, using her experience as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court to advise clients in state and federal courts.

“We are pleased to have Amanda joining our team,” said Reid Phillips, the firm’s managing partner. “She is a gifted young attorney, and her background will bring additional insights and experience to benefit our clients.”

Hawkins joins Brooks Pierce from the Raleigh office of another law firm. She previously served as a law clerk to Judge Carolyn Dineen King of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Benita Y. Pearson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and law degree from the UNC School of Law. She is actively involved in advancing the legal profession including serving as co-chair of the Public Service Committee for the Wake County Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division.
