Tony Copeland, Brooks Pierce’s senior economic development & corporate strategist, was featured in a WRAL “On the Record” segment about Apple’s plans to open a new campus in Raleigh. As a former North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, Copeland played a significant role in Apple’s expansion in the state.
In the segment, several business leaders talked about the steps that were taken to recruit Apple to North Carolina and the factors it considered when choosing Raleigh as the location of its new campus. Apple will spend over $1 billion on the campus and will employee 3,000 people.
Copeland is a highly accomplished attorney, focusing on corporate strategy and business incentive solutions with a 30-year record of achievement on every side of the corporate relocation and site selection process. While serving as the North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, he helped bring more than 81,000 jobs and more than $18.4 billion of investment to the state.
