Susan Scaggs Stutts is an environmental attorney who represents public and private clients in a variety of environmental matters before state and federal regulatory agencies.  

*Susan is licensed to practice in Mississippi and is undertaking the process to become licensed to practice in North Carolina.

My Practices

  • Susan has experience assisting clients with various environmental matters including compliance with the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and other solid waste and water law matters. She also works with utility clients dealing with state environmental compliance and environmental due diligence.

  • Susan has extensive experience counseling clients on compliance with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery program.
