Brooks Pierce Partner Justin Outling to Moderate Diversity Panel at UNC-Greensboro
Brooks Pierce partner Justin Outling will moderate a panel on diversity and inclusion at an event sponsored by the Diversity and Inclusion Council of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNC-Greensboro) Alumni Association on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6:15 p.m. The panel, titled “Lifting As We Climb: Inclusion & Diversity,” will discuss the various advantages and challenges of increased diversity in the workplace and community, and will be a part of the synerG Young Professionals Making Connections Series.
The Diversity and Inclusion Council of UNC-Greensboro is a group of alumni dedicated to developing initiatives that foster inclusion and a greater appreciation of diversity within the University community and beyond. SynerG is an organization of young professionals committed to promoting growth, creating a positive quality of life and addressing relevant issues of diversity and inclusion for people under the age of 40 living in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Outling focuses his practice on business litigation and white-collar criminal defense, representing clients in matters involving breaches of contract, unfair competition and trade practices, fraud claims, shareholder disputes, commercial financing and governmental investigations. A UNC-Greensboro alumni and active member of the Greensboro community, Outling has served as a councilman for the City of Greensboro since 2015. He also serves as co-chair of the Board of Visitors for the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and on the Board of Directors for the Hospice Foundation of Greater Greensboro and Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc.
